The term “Personal Chef” is becoming more common these days, as our society continues to get busier. As a mom and business owner, I know what it’s like to spend your day juggling picks ups, drop offs, emails, dog walks, laundry, meetings and everything in between. This is why my industry exists.
I became a Personal Chef to help people get nutritious food on the table without having to add another chore to their ever-growing to-do lists.Because, unlike other tasks, eating is non-negotiable. We may fall asleep before folding the towels or put off mowing the lawn until next weekend, but feeding your family homemade meals isn’t something you can take care of whenever you have time. And, let’s face it, takeout isn’t really a healthy or even satisfying alternative.
After a long day, there’s nothing better than coming home to a kitchen that smells like garlic, roasted chicken, pot roast or a freshly-baked cake. That’s what I bring to the table…
Q: What is a Personal Chef?
A: A Personal Chef is a culinary professional (self or classically trained) who creates personalized meals for you and your family. Unlike a Private Chef, a Personal Chef works with multiple families and usually cooks for them once or twice per week, but supplies all the meals (or a portion) for the household.
I help people who don’t have the time, interest or patience for cooking, but still want to enjoy nutritious, homemade meals.
Q: Do I have to plan my own menus or grocery shop?
A: Absolutely not! I take care of that for you. I find out your food preferences and customize menus accordingly. I go to the grocery store, cook your meals and take care of all the dishes!
Q: Where do you cook?
A: I cook in my clients’ homes. That means, your food doesn’t come from a box or factory, and it isn’t shared with multiple people. Your food is cooked from scratch in your own kitchen, but you don’t have to lift a finger.
Q: I’m not rich. Can I afford your services?
A: It’s a common misnomer that Personal Chefs are only for the rich and famous. But that’s simply not true. Think about how much money you’ll save without food waste and pricy restaurant bills. Plus, as I chef, I’m a savvy grocery shopper. My services are more affordable than you might think.
